<em>A Passage to Dreamworld</em><span> is a public programme held in conjunction with </span><em>Passages</em><span>, an exhibition of the second cycle of SEA AiR – Studio Residencies for Southeast Asian artists in the European Union. Featuring artists </span>Priyageetha Dia (Singapore), Ngoc Nau (Vietnam) and Saroot Supasuthivech (Thailand) and their artworks <em>Sap Sonic</em>, <em>Virtual Reverie: Echoes of a Forgotten Utopia</em> and <em>Spirit-forward in G Major</em><span>, the exhibition is a culmination of their residencies in Europe.</span>

Anthony shares about his research-driven artistic practice that responds to the social, historical, and architectural stratifications of a given place. Employing common materials found from the everyday, his artworks seeks to unearth the power structures and hegemony that undergirds a site. In this episode of On AiR, Artist-in-Residence Yanyun Chen shares about the two main strands of her art practice, the visuals of botanicals and intergenerational conflicts and trauma, and how the two inform and build upon each other. During the residency, Yanyun will be exploring Singaporean personal and communal childhood histories of discipline and punishment. Through fieldwork, literary investigations, and interviews, the artist intends to uncover the heterogenous ways these personal stories of pain and violence are remembered and interpreted through time.

<p>Unravelling a series of intersecting reflections on the function of the artist’s studio within the arts ecology of a city, Michael Lee presents <em>Creatif Compleks</em>, a project developed during the residency for The Vitrine, the Centre’s smallest <em>Space of the Curatorial. </em>Through a diagrammatic reconfiguration of a hypothetical studio, the work takes a speculative leap into the utopian and the absurd, rendering visible the physical, psychological, and social factors layered in the most private and intimate environment of creative making.</p>

<p>In this talk, artist Tun Win Aung highlights the challenges related to envisioning a contemporary art institution in the context of Myanmar.
