Aimee Lin, Editor of <i>ArtReview Asia </i>gave a talk during her residency at the Singapore Art Book Fair 2014. Lin met with local artists to understand the art scene in Singapore with research facilitated by Vera Mey NTU CCA Singapore Curator, Residencies.

Through his research on the theory and practice of “the hyperimage”, Alfredo Cramerotti aims to research and meet artists, curators, and writers working at the cusp of visual information and networked imaging, in order to scope future collaborations. During his residency, Cramerotti will also present a lecture titled <i>The Curator as Meta Artist. Modes of Curation in the Age of [Aesthetic] Uncertainty</i>, discussing three different modes in which curatorial practice can function.

Anna Daneri has worked with Joan Jonas on several occasions in the past, and was the production manager for the presentation of <i>They Come to Us without a Word</i> at the U.S. Pavilion during the 56th Venice Biennale. While in residence Daneri will give a Curatorial Tour of Joan Jonas:<i> They Come to Us without a Word</i> at the NTU CCA Singapore and will provide a deeper understanding of Jonas' way of working and share insights into how the artist developed the different elements of her exhibition. Daneri will research Singapore’s port city status and different mutations of trade and migration and how this has affected the psychogeographic landscape of Singapore. She will also connect with local artists to gain an awareness of Singaporean arts communities.

Anne Szefer Karlsen will connect to and explore the Singapore art scene, investigating parallels between the Singaporean and Norwegian art environment. She will give a public presentation discussing the Scandinavian art book series <i>Dublett </i>(2012 – 2016). Each edition of <i>Dublett </i>consists of a new artist’s book and an anthology of commissioned texts on the artist or project at hand, written by contributors from a variety of disciplines that aim to cultivate art mediation within a book format. While in residence, Szefer Karlsen also aims to connect with artists, curators, writers and designers in Singapore, focusing on the intersections between editorial and curatorial practices.

During the residency, Anthony Huberman will connect with local artists and institutions in Singapore. He will deliver a lecture that addresses concepts of tools, devices, and machines in relation to the exhibition MECHANISMS, he recently curated at CCA Wattis Institute for Contemporary Arts, San Francisco, United States. Furthering his connection with the region, Huberman will also travel to the Philippines to participate in the <i>Public Lecture Series 2018</i> at the Museum of Contemporary Art and Design (MCAD), Manila.

Binna Choi will research the Singapore art scene and the wider Southeast Asian region as represented in Singapore Biennale 2016 – An Atlas of Mirrors. She will give a public lecture on the relationship between artistic projects and social movements drawing from her recent collaborative projects <i>The Grand Domestic Revolution and Composing the Commons</i> and will share models of collaboration and self-organisation developed at Casco.

While in residence Bojana Piškur aims to further the scope of her current research on the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) exploring the political and cultural implications of this global movement in the context of Singapore and Southeast Asia. Piškur will spend time conducting archival research on the NAM and will also explore possibilities for future collaborations in the region, engaging and connecting with local institutions and artists that focus on socio-political issues.

During the residency, Brigitte van der Sande aims to further the scope of her ongoing research on the currencies and potentialities of science-fiction in the context of Asia. By connecting with local artists and cultural practitioners with similar interests, she will explore possibilities of future collaboration for the second edition of the multidisciplinary festival <i>Other Futures</i> that will take place in Amsterdam 2020. Reflecting on these experiences and interests, van der Sande will also present a public talk entitled <i>Speculations on other futures</i>.

During his residency, Chun will pursue his exploration of the inconspicuous fixtures of the urban environment shifting from a detached approach to a more active engagement that involves connecting with the public agencies in charge of the design, production, and installation of such elements. He is also contemplating to create a performance piece which will lend voice to a range of common objects.

While in residence, Corinne Diserens will connect with local artists and explore the Singapore art scene as well as the region of Southeast Asia. Diserens will also give a public talk discussing the exhibition as medium with the Taipei Biennial as a study, as well as touch on past exhibitions she had curated for artists Dieter Roth, Lygia Clark, and Marcel Broodthaers, amongst others. Diserens will also elaborate on research in the frame of art school and out of school, in relation to her experience as Director of the ERG, higher art and research academy in Brussels, Belgium.
