In this talk, Sally Tallant, Director of the Liverpool Biennial will focus on the structure and the relationship of Liverpool Biennial to the city of Liverpool, and will outline her plan for the next decade. The Liverpool Biennial is the UK Biennial of Contemporary Art underpinned by a programme of research, education, residencies and commissions.
Sally Tallant is the Director of Liverpool Biennial – The UK Biennial of International Contemporary Art. From 2001 – 11 she was Head of Programmes at the Serpentine Gallery, London where she was responsible for the development and delivery of an integrated programme of Exhibitions, Architecture, Education and Public Programmes. She received her MA in Curating Contemporary Art from the Royal College of Art, London.
