Biographical Text

Kan Shuyi is curator of Chinese art at Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM). She received her BA (Hons) in History from the National University of Singapore and her MA in History of Art and Archaeology of East Asia from SOAS, University of London. Since joining ACM in 2007, she has curated and co-curated several exhibitions at the museum, including The Kangxi Emperor: Treasures from the Forbidden City (2009), Terracotta Warriors: The First Emperor and His Legacy (2011), as well as Joseon Korea: Court Treasures and City Life (2017). Her latest exhibition is Faith Beauty Love Hope - Our Stories, Your ACM (2021).
