Zak Kyes is the founder and creative director of Zak Group. At Zak Group his work focuses on brand strategy for cultural and commercial clients including Anne Imhof, Frank Ocean, M+, Nike, Paco Rabanne, Virgil Abloh and vitra among many others.
Kyes served as Art Director of the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London for more than ten years, establishing his international standing as an art director, publisher and curator. At the AA he art directed the school’s design and publishing studio and co-founded the publishing imprint Bedford Press, publishing over 150 titles on architecture, design and visual art.
In 2019 he was elected to the Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI), a professional body comprising the world's leading designers. He has lectured widely on design and been a visiting teacher at the Architectural Association, ECAL, LCC and OTIS. He holds a B.F.A. from California Institute of the Arts.
