Katharina Sykora is a curator and professor of Art History at Braunschweig University of the Arts and author of <i>Die Tode der Fotografie</i> (vol. I, 2009; vol. II, 2015). She was the Max Kade Visiting Professor at Bloomington University, Indiana, research fellow at the Rockefeller Foundation’s Bellagio Center, and an Opus Magnum Research Fellow, a joint venture between the VolkswagenStiftung, Fritz Thyssen Stiftung, Bucerius Stiftung, and Deutscher Wissenschaftsverband. Since 2013 she has been the head of the Photographic Dispositif PhD program funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft.
