Rafi is a dedicated cultural worker with experience working in cultural institutions, museums and galleries. His interests lie broadly in contemporary art and the politics of aesthetics. He was selected as a participant of Staging and the Exhibition, a curatorial workshop led by Dr Bridget Crone, Visual Culture, Goldsmiths; and initiated a partnership between the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) Singapore and Goldsmiths, University of London. His recent projects include curating Poor Imagination (2019) and research titled "Politics of Space: Keramat, Makam and Tanah Perkuburan as Alternative Historiographies with Nurhuda Rafie Ang as part of the McNally School of Fine Arts [MSoFA] Fieldwork Research Grant.
