As part of The Making of an Institution, Artist-in-Residence Thao-Nguyen Phan explores what artistic research means in the context of her practice and how it has been developing over the years. Interweaving past and recent works that engage with the history of Vietnam, she will discuss her interest in educational patterns and the power of narrative in the transmission of knowledge. She will also talk about the projects she developed with Art Labor, a collective she co-founded in 2012. The talk will take place in the artist’s studio, #01-04, Block 37 Malan Road
